WHERE TO STAY IN NAPLES ITALY
"Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller." – Ibn Battuta
Convenient Location to Michelin Pizza
If you’ve been following along, you’ve noticed that we have journeyed to many locations for our honeymoon. Some friends even told us it looked more like a marathon than a relaxing honeymoon. At the end of our honeymoon, our travel plans took us from Paris to Naples before flying home to Los Angeles. Since it was a one-night stay, we challenged ourselves to find a hotel that provided a good bang for our buck. I wanted to make sure there was something we could take away from this one-night stay and my first time in Naples, so we decided on Hotel Paradiso with a majestic view of Mount Vesuvius (see above).
Since we didn’t have many meals during our time in Naples, we knew we had to get pizza while we were there. Everyone would likely recommend L'antica Pizzeria da Michele, but we were quite tired from our intense honeymoon itinerary and Naples is also a bustling city so we did not have the energy to journey over to L'antica Pizzeria da Michele and wait in line for food. Since we were in Naples, there must be other pizzerias that were just as good, since local ingredients make all the difference. We decided to make our way down from the top of the mountain where Hotel Paradiso sat, and as soon as we made it down to the main road, we spotted 50 Kalo, another Michelin-recommended restaurant in Naples. Funny enough, as soon as we sat down, I recognized the logo from the table setting that this was a restaurant my friend had recommended! We were so lucky that Hotel Paradiso was right next to a place I would’ve journeyed out to try.
We were genuinely shocked by the quality of the pizza, especially priced around $5-$7 USD per pizza! After dinner, we walked around the pier and came across a dessert shop called Chalet Ciro and decided to get some desserts to sweeten up the last night of our honeymoon.
Sunrise View of Mount Vesuvius
Hotel Paradiso is part of the Best Western Signature Collection; if you are aware of the normal Best Western brand, you can imagine how a related product can feel. To be completely honest, the room itself was quite small with barely enough space for our carry-on luggage, the interior felt dated with bedding that was not the most comfortable. The property could use a refresh and it was not where I would have preferred to spend the last night of our honeymoon. However, as soon as we woke up from our one-night stay, we were welcomed by the most incredible sunrise view of Mount Vesuvius just right outside our room window. This moment was such a core memory for me that I completely forgot about everything I nitpicked about the hotel room.
Affordable Pricing
Depending on your travel dates, the pricing can range from $100-$200 a night depending on the roon picked. However, I highly recommend booking the Sea View because that is how you can get a direct view of Mount Vesuvius right from your balcony!
Since Naples was only a one-night stop during our honeymoon to fly back home to Los Angeles, we didn’t want to spend as much as we did at some of the other locations we visted. I was looking for a property that offered affordable pricing, good location, and a special something to offer it’s guests, and that’s how I discovered, Hotel Paradiso!
Final Thoughts
With all things considered, Hotel Paradiso was an excellent choice for what we needed during this part of our honeymoon. We were able to easily schedule a car service to the airport and from the hectic Naples train station. We didn’t need to journey far to get excellent pizza, and we were ecstatic to see the sun rising over the majestic Mount Vesuvius! With a nightly price point between $100-$200, Hotel Paradiso is a good contender for your upcoming trip to Naples!
